PROJECT OVERVIEW

WHAT IS TORCH MINISTRY?: A community of young people that regularly gather to build relationships, study the Bible, and have fun.

WHAT IS PURSUIT 2023?: A four-day retreat for young people across all five locations of WIN Ontario Church (Mississauga, North York, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Sarnia) to connect, have fun, and learn about the love of Jesus Christ.

WHY IS THIS NEEDED?: To inform and encourage young people to get involved with the Pursuit 2023 Young People's Camp via registering as a camper or a volunteer through a multi-functional digital space.

CURRENT WEBSITE: PAIN POINTS

1

LIMITED BRAND

 PRESENCE

Colour and theme is constrained to the Church's branding which disallows the representation of Torch Ministry's branding let alone the Camp event's theme

2

INFORMATION IS SCARCE

Information about Torch Ministry and events is limited to just its name listed amongst other community groups and a brief description with a dated photo

3

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

Finding Torch Ministry related content is hard to find

PROTOTYPE

A prototype was created containing the design requirements. I then shared the prototype with the marketing team for feedback on improving the layout and how we can apply the camp branding and links to make the landing page functional.

HIGH-FIDELITY MOCKUP

I created a mockup after the marketing team finalized the theme and branding of the camp. I applied the branding to the mockup and applied the copy that would be seen on the landing page. I then collaborated with the developers in making the landing page fully functional for attendees to use.

IMPACT

Through the landing page we:

Reached capacity in registered attendees - 85 Campers

Surpassed our fundraising goal - $15,000

Acquired all the volunteers needed - 25 Volunteers

NEXT STEPS

The next step is to expand on the landing page and create a full website for Torch Ministry. This website will include a page about Torch Ministry, upcoming events, a gallery, and the landing page for future Pursuit Camps.

I created a prototype of the website to visualize the foundation of the website and to identify the best way to organize the content to effectively inform our users.
